MicutVault Is Now Live on Google Play
From 9 disguise modes and local-first privacy to closed testing and a public Android release.

The idea behind MicutVault
MicutVault started with a practical question: why should a private vault always look like a private vault? The answer became a product built around discreet access, local control and familiar everyday interfaces rather than a visibly labelled vault.
9 disguise modes
MicutVault can present itself through nine disguise modes:

Calculator mode also works as a real calculator. The disguise system is designed to keep access discreet without exposing sensitive implementation details.
What the vault protects
The current release supports private photos, videos, audio and notes. It also includes photo zoom, sorting and slideshow tools for working with protected content.
Security and privacy controls
Product-level controls include a primary PIN, optional biometric unlock, configurable inactivity auto-lock, optional intruder detection and configurable lockout after repeated failed PIN attempts. MicutVault also includes an encrypted 30-day Trash and encrypted backup and restore.
Local-first design
The current release requires no account, includes no ads or analytics, and does not require cloud storage or a subscription. Details about data handling are available in the MicutVault Privacy Policy.
The 14-day closed test
Before Production access, MicutVault completed Google Play closed testing with at least 12 testers over a minimum of 14 days. The test focused on setup, the PIN flow, navigation, disguise flows, biometric access, importing and viewing private content, and overall stability.
Why Billing was not added before launch
A Free + Lifetime model was already planned, but Google Play Billing was intentionally not introduced immediately before Production. Adding a major new purchase flow after the tested build had been validated would have changed the release at the last stage.
The current Production release is fully available for free.
A future update is planned to introduce a Free + Lifetime model with a one-time purchase. No subscription is planned, and no exact billing release date has been announced.

What comes next
The next stage is informed by public usage: monitoring stability, gathering UX feedback, learning which disguise modes people value most and preparing the future Free + Lifetime model without rushing a new billing flow.
