SEABIL · Practical Seabil guide
Seabil Free vs Lifetime
Start with Free when a small subscription list is enough. Seabil Lifetime is an optional one-time Google Play purchase for unlimited subscriptions and premium tools, rather than another recurring subscription to manage.
Use Free to build a useful first overview
Free supports up to three subscriptions and essential recurring-payment management. Add real services, check their dates and see whether maintaining a manual overview fits your routine before deciding on an upgrade.
If those three records cover what you need, you can remain on Free. The purpose of the comparison is to explain the access boundary, not to turn a small list into a reason to buy.
What Free and Lifetime include
| Feature | Free | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription records | Up to 3 | Unlimited |
| Essential recurring-payment tools | Included | Included |
| Advanced insights and Scenario Lab | Lifetime feature | Included |
| Price history and totals by payment method | Lifetime features | Included |
| Encrypted backup and restore | Lifetime feature | Included |
| CSV export | Lifetime feature | Included |
| Home screen widgets | Lifetime feature | Included |
| Access model | Free | One-time Google Play purchase |
Choose Lifetime when the additional tools serve a real need
Lifetime removes the subscription limit and adds advanced insights, Scenario Lab, price history, totals by payment method, encrypted backup and restore, CSV export and home screen widgets.
For example, a longer service list may need unlimited records, while someone changing phones may value a user-controlled encrypted backup. An export for a spreadsheet is a different need: CSV is readable and does not restore Seabil.
Read the local Google Play price before buying
Google Play shows the current price for your region before you confirm a purchase. Lifetime is paid once; it does not introduce a recurring Seabil fee.
Google Play handles the optional transaction and access restoration. After reinstalling, use Restore purchase with the same Google Play account used to buy Lifetime. Restoring purchase access does not restore subscription records; those require your own backup.
Keep access and data protection as separate decisions
Core tracking is local-first without a bank connection or a Seabil account. Choosing Lifetime changes feature access, not the need to keep your records accurate.
Before resetting a phone, deleting app data or reinstalling, create and retain a suitable backup if you want to preserve your records. Keep its password safely; Seabil cannot recover it for you.
