SEABIL · Practical Seabil guide
Get Reminded Before Your Next Subscription Renewal
A subscription renewal reminder creates a chance to review a service before its next charge. Seabil schedules local notifications from the dates and reminder choices you record; it does not watch your bank account.
Make the next renewal date trustworthy
Check the provider’s actual billing date when adding a record. Different services may renew on different days or use weekly, monthly, yearly or custom intervals. Update the record when a plan changes.
Choose how early you want to be notified. The useful lead time is the one that leaves you time to decide whether to keep the service or contact its provider, rather than simply acknowledging a charge afterwards.
Keep reminders separate from payment confirmation
A due date is a plan, not proof that money moved. After checking the payment, mark it as paid in Seabil or from the supported notification action. This keeps confirmed activity distinct from upcoming estimates.
Snooze can postpone a reminder until the next day. It does not mark a bill as paid, move the provider’s billing date or cancel the service.
Give a trial deadline its own attention
For a free trial, record the trial dates, first charge, later price and cancellation deadline. A reminder can prompt you to review the service before that first payment.
If you decide to stop, cancel with the provider and keep the relevant details in your record. Seabil does not submit cancellations or make payments on your behalf.
Check Android permissions and background restrictions
Allow notifications, review the chosen alert types and use the Notification Trust Center’s test when setting up reminders. If alerts are missing, check the app’s notification permission and Android battery settings.
Android controls delivery and may delay notifications under battery or background restrictions. For a critical cancellation deadline, keep another reminder you can rely on and verify the date directly with the provider. No reminder app can guarantee delivery in every device condition.
